Teri Hanes, our founder and owner, is a Web Designer, Developer and started the business when her husband retired and dragged her along to the piney woods of east Texas. It is difficult to find programming jobs in a rural area. She did not want to do a long commute of about 60 miles one way to get a job, so she started Hanes Originals. She found that web sites were needed as the town just down the road, Jefferson, TX is a large bed and breakfast community and has a great deal of tourism.
